On Set Mentoring

After the 4 day intensive, trainees would be ready to work independently with mentor support & supervision.

If any shadowing opportunities become available to support learning, they would be utilised.

Mentoring sessions will be facilitated during the 6 months following the training, and a community will be created for the trainees to work together to develop skills and share experiences.  As an emerging role globally, we're hoping that the cohort will work together to establish what global best practice should look like, while being cognisant of the need for regional variations.

The mentor sessions will additionally give trainees the opportunity to take a deeper dive into other subjects such as working with neurodiverse minors or minors with disabilities for example.

Mentors will also be available by phone and email; they will check documentation being generated by trainee YPS', evaluate feedback, and act as a support to the newly trained YPS' when they're on set.
