Training Outline
The Safe Sets YPS Training will be in online and in person in London in February 2026*
5 online modules (3 hour sessions over 4 weeks), 4 days in person (09:00-17:00, London or South Africa* Feb 2026) and an ongoing commitment to guided mentorship over six months from Safe Sets trainers.
The training will be split into clear modules, with the days split between foundational theoretical learning followed by practical application.

YPS Workflow - from pre-production to post production
The YPS, Chaperone, Tutor and IC relationship

Safe-guarding and recognising behaviours
Stages of emotional, cognitive, and social development
Hierarchy of needs
Learning modalities and relating them to the creative act (differentiation)
Practical topics will be covered such as:
Consent and Boundaries for a minor
Choreography and body placement
The physicality of familial touch
Adapting IC models for children: storytelling boundaries, kissing strategies and desexualising touch for minors (intimacy 101)
Introduction to play strategies
Consent communication vs Coercion vs Compliance
Performance coaching 101 - Play-centred acting
Shooting out minors strategies
